Leipzig/Halle Airport has a stand with new partners at the ‘TRANSPORT LOGISTIC’ Trade fair in Munich
Leipzig/Halle Airport, Europe’s third-largest air freight hub, is attending the lead-ing international specialist trade fair for logistics, mobility, IT and supply chain management, the ‘transport logistic’ in Munich, on 9 – 12 May. Its trade fair stand is in hall B1, stand 409.
The airport will jointly provide information about current settlement projects with new partners on the first day of the fair: GEORGI-Handling will expand its existing logistics space at the Cargo Area South and start using an area measuring more than 15,000 square metres. The Belgian Weerts Group is also constructing a logistics and air freight building measuring approx. 39,000 square metres in the immediate vicinity.
More and more companies associated with the air freight sector are using the site benefits of the Cargo Area South at Leipzig/Halle Airport. Greenfield Development as well as Mytheresa and Amazon have set up an air freight and a national distribution centre there, for example.
“Leipzig/Halle represents the ideal combination of growth potential, long-term planning and investment reliability as well as efficient multimodal infrastructure at the heart of Europe. This recipe is proving to be persuasive to more and more firms, as underlined by the commitment of our partners, the Weerts Group and Georgi Handling,” says Götz Ahmelmann, the CEO of Mitteldeutsche Flughafen AG, stressing his point.
