Leipzig/Halle Airport presents itself together with Airea and the Metropolitan Region of Central Germany at Expo Real 2022

From October 4 to 6, 2022, Leipzig/Halle Airport (LEJ) will be presenting its location qualities and diverse range of space offerings at the Expo Real real estate trade fair in Munich. LEJ will once again be presenting itself as part of the Central German metropolitan region. Airea - Airport Region in Central Germany will also present itself for the first time.

"We've got the space, you'll get the success. This is the motto of LEJ's three-day presentation at this year's Expo Real in the Trade Fair Center Messe München, Hall C1, Stand 220/320. At LEJ's stand, companies, investors and other interested parties can find out directly about the space on offer and development potential at the airport. In addition to areas for airport-related and commercial/industrial uses and logistics, LEJ also offers ten hectares of space in the central area of the airport for research and development with the planned Innovation Campus.

Götz Ahmelmann, Chairman of the Board of MFAG: "Leipzig/Halle Airport is one of the leading European cargo airports in a central location in the middle of Germany with the best connections and high location qualities. That is why more than 200 companies have settled here in recent years. The good news is that we still have room for growth and will be presenting all of the region's locational advantages together with our partners at the trade fair."

LEJ is part of the metropolitan region's exhibition area together with Airea, a new cooperation between Wirtschaftsförderung Sachsen GmbH (WFS), Mitteldeutscher Airport AG (MFAG) and Investitions- und Marketinggesellschaft Sachsen-Anhalt (IMG). Here, Katrin Lässig, Head of Real Estate and Sustainability, will be available for discussions alongside CEO Götz Ahmelmann.

LEJ and Airea will also be giving presentations on space and potential and will be available to answer questions. The focus will be on the second day of the fair, Wednesday, October 5:

• 12:30 to 13:30: Keynote Götz Ahmelmann "Airea - Gateway to markets, people, ideas" at the booth of the Free State of Saxony, Hall A2, Booth 320
• 16:00 to 17:00: Katrin Lässig at the expert forum "Airport Region Leipzig/Halle - Growth Engine in Central Germany" at the joint stand of the Metropolitan Region, Hall C1, Stand 220/320
• from 17:00: Reception of Leipzig/Halle Airport at the LEJ/Airea stand, Hall C 1, Stand 220/320 directly opposite the Metropolitan Region
